2 school for cool

Hooray, school has started & I can finally get back to my well balanced schedule of dinner and baths and bedtime and grocery shopping and a small piece of my lost sanity.

My handsome 2nd grader
his teacher seems a little strict, which I am thrilled about.

My preschool gal
this is her 3rd and last year of preschool.
She love's it.

Fall, I welcome you at anytime.

Summer

Um, what else?
Quit drinking soda, 2 bike races, camping, scratched cornea, surprise asthma attack, fixed 7 flat bike tires, finished our playground, late nights, later mornings, planted 18 trees, played tooth fairy, ate alot of cereal & started drinking soda again.
yup that sums it up.

Camping

We headed to the hills for some R & R and by R & R  I mean, not resting and not relaxing.  Which is exactly how camping should be.

I wish I had this on video, we were all laughing & screaming & high fiven.
Porter bated the hook, cast the line & reeled this big ol' fella in all by himself.
way to go P!!!

Waiting & waiting...no luck.

We eventually wised up and removed the hook from Linc's poll and let him have at it.

That's porter on the other side of the lake. I love the reflection.

Porter just before the big catch

The expert Fisherlady

Really?..how?...I....I just don't get it.

Family photo before heading back to camp

I had to add this photo. What you don't see is how just before we snapped this shot he was using some pliers to lift the tab to his unauthorized soda.
SELF SUFFICIENCY AT IT'S BEST.

yummy peanut butter Smore's.
ha ha Don't I look like a little asian lady here?

"Tire swingin"
This may be classified as child abuse, but oh man their faces were so funny.

Every night is Smore night.

Jiffy Pop
Never tried it over the fire or ever for that matter.
it worked & it was delicious.

Football

The kids were a little unsure of the stream.

Nanny and Grandpa came up for lunch and a 4 wheeler ride.

It wouldn't be a family camping trip without Linc's favorite 4 legged buddy.

This trip was one of the best. The kids are still talking about it.
Hopefully we can get to the pines one more time before the fall sneaks in on us.
