yay for fall

Seems as though fall had come and gone, but we did manage a little leaf fun.
Had to go to Nannys to feed the dogs since everyone was away hunting.
The kids didn't mind one bit.

SNOW

I'm not a fan of snow...cold....cold...snow
but, I couldn't resist taking this picture. This is my favorite view in the house.  Actually every view in my house is amazing, but this one's my fav.
What's even better then this view is being warm and toasty inside.
I know I won't have this view forever once people start building, which is ok I wouldn't mind a neighbor or 2.

Pizza, tattoos & Park City

Ryan and I were able to have an overnighter for the first time since we've had kids (5 1/2 years ago!)  Thanks to Mother-in-law Lisa we were able to go to park city.  So mad I forgot my camera, I wanted to document the monumental occassion. oh well, we'll just have to go again...soon.

so why the pizza?

basically, I didn't wan't to cook dinner and I didn't want Lisa to worry about it, so I picked up a Papa Murphys Pumpkin pizza before we left for Park City.
The kids got a kick out of it.  Except they faught over the 2 black olives.  JEESH

These kids go nuts for the tattoos in the vending machines.  What 3 & 5 year old doesn't need a flaming skull tattoo on their chest? i'm just preparing them for the future.
(do you notice her skirt is on sideways.)

Have you met O-B?

                                                         - LOOK CLOSE -

The kids found this cute little caterpillar in the garage.
I asked Porter what we should name it and he said "orange black, cause it's orange & black"    I said "maybe we could call him O-B for short". He loved it.
He made him a name tag and gave him some grass.

I'm hoping it will turn into a butterfly, but i'm not so sure the fuzzy guy will make it through the week.  Everyday Porter says "Mom, I think it's dead!"  So being the mom that I am, I poke it with a stick, it wiggles and we do the same thing the next day.
good luck O-B

Sunday Drive

We took a sunday drive hoping to catch the last of the changing leaves, well....we missed them. We had fun anywho.  We started the journey off with a half priced happy hour slushy from Sonic. ok so mine was actually a diet vanilla coke.  shhhh i know, i know, but at least we made it to church, that counts..right?
a bumpy wrong turn and a hour later, Canyon woke from her nap soakin wet (hence the awesome outfit) & the other two needed to get out and move their legs.  We stopped at a "restroom" if you can call it that. LOCKED! drive a little further LOCKED!  don't even ask what was behind the bathrooms. we managed and all is well. took a little hike and some fall pictures. wah lah a wonderful sunday drive. I love my little family.

Witchin Good Time

My "Witches" and I went to Gardeners Village for Witch Night.  Pretty self explanitory, you dress as a witch and shop.  Wasn't top on my list of things to do, but I'm so glad I went. it was a blast.  Thanks ladies it was just what I needed.

nice day for the park

I have a feeling this is the last park visit for the year. (tear drop)  Actually it wasn't even my idea. Canyon was ready to go pick up porter from school, but we still had a good half hour. I thought h-m-m we could leave now & the kids could play while we wait. ah ha there you go and that's how a 3 year olds day is made.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANYON

I had to dig deep to find some craftiness, luckly i'm a avid blog stalker and found some great ideas. The banner was an adea from my fav V&Co and the other stuff was from random blogs found on U-create.

anywho, back to the lady of the hour.

here's a list of my favorite things about Canyon:
She is so sweet & so spunky, what a great combo.
She is hillarious & knows when she is.
Loves her brothers.
I  simply can not resist hiding around the corner listening to her play with her dolls.
she loves giving those dolls baths in the sink....daily
cracks eggs like a pro.
loves to color...paint...stamp...staple...cut (I think you get the idea)
sings "Days of the Week" like a super star
she is a snappy dresser.
Happy 3rd Birthday Canyon, WE LOVE YOU!

Days Farm

Canyon had a fieldtrip to Days Farm.  She doesn't get to overly excited about things, but I think she had fun.
Pic #1. trying to find the perfect pumpkin
Pic #2. Canyon and her friend Jastin (Karla's little girl)
Pic #3. Canyons new Cow boots as she calls them.

First year pics

My sweet Lincoln
here's his one year pics. i'm not a fan of Target photo, but how do you pass up a $7.99 portrait package.
It took him about 10 minutes to warm up, but we got em.

Flower power

I was forwarded a wonderful blog from michelle called V&Co. This has become one of my favorite blogs and of course on her blog is more good blogs WARNING: it becomes quite time consuming. Anywho, on the blog it shows how to make these super cute flowers and then at my ladies dinner the other night Cheloni had a box full of them. that's when I knew I had to try it out.  what do you think? a little overwhelming I know, my next one's will be smaller.
PLEASE NOTE: my birthday necklace from Ryan in the first pic, if you click on it you can see it larger. each disk has the kids's names on it. I love it & my sweet husband

Headboard

So Michelle gave me some inspiration for a new headboard. I have to admit my only contribution was the sanding. Ryan did the rest.  I love how it turned out although it was a little more costly then I expected, but if you had some of the material laying around already it would be the perfect project.  I'm not quite done, I need king sized pillows & i'm looking for a blue throw to go at the foot of the bed. eventually id like a little bench at the end of the bed too. I'll know it when I see it!  i'm also debating on making some accent pillows. I say debating because really who needs all those pillows.

What's next in the works? funny you should ask. Bed Side tables! I have a feeling those are on the waiting list. - Hunting season has arrived folks -

SWEET GIRL

Canyon was watching Ryan haul in truckloads of dirt to the backyard & loved when the dumptuck dumped it.  She's what you would call Sweet & Spunky and I love her just for that reason.

Monkey see-Monkey do

Besides the fact that I need some serious Windex, I thought this was a good picture taking moment.  The big kids were outside watching daddy bringing in loads of dirt to the backyard and Linc and I were hangin inside.  They love making Lincoln laugh.

CIRCUS TIME

Ryan and I surprised the kids and went to the Circus.  We just told them we were going to drop off Lincoln at Grandma Coco's (thanks mom & dad) and we were going to go eat in Salt Lake or Salt Lake City as Porter refers to it.  We stopped at Training Table m-m-m cheese fries and headed to the ESA.  They couldn't guess it until Porter saw a elephant on a flag. That's when he figured it out "It's the Circus!" The kids had a blast and even ryan managed to stay awake.  Ryan spotted Thurl Bailey, but he was on his way down to "the good seats."   $10.00 snow cones & a big purple smile, doesn't get any better then that.
