Rag Curlz?

Do you remember rag curlz?  You take a rag and rip it into strips. Next take the end of wet hair and roll it up with the strip and secure it with a knot. Pretty much the same idea as a normal curler.

Well, I was missing my curly Canyon and decided to try this out on her.  She was surprisingly willing and sat on my bed while I cut strips and rolled up her hair, except I cut up a wal-mart sack. she even went to bed with them complaint free.

The sun came up, the clock turned to 8:00 and in walked Canyon.  I was excited and grabbed the scissors instead of the usual "5 more minutes, just 5 more minutes"

Ummm yaaa, not the results I was hoping for.
At least I tried & shoot it was kinda fun.  definately won't be trying this again any time soon.

Fun in the sun

We found a window of sunshine & decided we better enjoy it while it's here.

My work party was at Classic Fun Center and let me tell you, the kids had been counting down the days.  They love this place! frankly it wears me out, but the sweaty heads, dirty feet & the uncontrollable laughter make it worth it.

this picture is titled "snot and a scooter"

unfortunately, the tokens were free as well.

This is how you got to the top!!!  that kid at the bottom is Canyon & she pretty much ran up that thing slid down the slide & back up before I even got to the top. (come on i'm almost 30 plus I had Lincoln in one arm.)

This is P's, I made it to the top pose!!!
about 30 seconds later, a kid knocked him off. No worries he was back on in no time.

After a long scrub down & extra soap the kids went right to bed.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Every Easter my parents give the kids kites in their baskets, which results in every year Ryan & I running up and down the streets like crazy people.

Mud - Mud - Mud
Oh and did I mention -MUD-

TIES

For Easter I made my boys ties.  They were so easy and they turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

I got the idea from trey & lucy. Instead of using her template I just layed one of Porter's ties on top of my material and traced it making it a little wider. I did the same with Lincs.  If I were to make more of these which I probably should, I would make them a little longer because they shrink a little in the wash.  I was a little worried about washing them I thought it would come out in a ruined wrinkled mess, but surprisingly they didn't, just came out more fringed and even cuter.

Did I mention they're reversible!

There was a total of 14 of us for some good ice-cream & Letherbys caramel, but for some reason I only managed pictures of these crazy stink bugs.

Crazy day, but the kids went right to bed. A supreme mixture of
exhaustion & easter bunny bribery.

Lincoln Jones????

Caught #1

Busted #2

3rd times A charm

This time I found him hiding on the side of my bed.

The drawer I keep my makup in is high, but he scoots whatever he can find up to it.

If there's one thing i've learned from being a parent is if the kids are being unusually quiet, that's bad, no good, be afraid.
