Pumpkin Painting

One of our family traditions is Pumpkin Painting.  No knives, stencils, gutting or open flames. Just good ol' paint to brush

The young arteest

Some chose to paint, while others chose to ingest it.
A moms glance at the bottle noticed the nontoxic symbol.  another poison control call avoided.

Mr. Britts artistic skillz. (we'll get back to him shortly)

I don't know but I think Simpson's just found themselves a new character.

Canyons 2010 fall collection

This child of mine amazes me. He made most of these colors himself.  not to mention the 2 hours he spent on it.

My artwork again

and again.
I had extra chrome spray paint leftover from another project.  I think it turned out kinda cool

our beautiful Halloween stairs

Let's get back to Ryan's pumpkin shall we.
We finished up, lined the stairs and gazed upon our beautiful masterpieces.
Uncle Tyler came over to see the finished artwork.
now picture 3 grown people standing on the steps talking while examining the orange gourds.
I look down at Ry's pumpkin & back up at him. back at the pumpkin & then at Ty. I glance down at the pumpkin again, back at Ry.  That's it, that's all I could take, why am I the only one wanting to laugh?
So I had to point it out. (sorry mom)
bah ha ha ha ha ha

didn't enter this one in the ward pumpkin contest!
 Happy Halloweener!

Days Farm

We asked Canyon who she wanted to go with her to Days Farm for her field trip & she picked  Mom, Dad & Lincoln.  My bets were on daddy, but surprisingly she picked us all.  Don't feel bad for Porter he had school.

Present for olive

I've been hooked on making these dolls. I believe the correct name is Black Apple dolls and you can find the video instructions on Martha Stuart's website. If I wasn't lazy in a hurry I'd find the link.
I kinda do it a little different from the video, but the idea is the same.  Some don't turn out and I hang my head in shame admitting that I have ruthlessly tossed the misfits in the can.
Brooke asked me to make one for our boss's little girl who is turning one.
I love how she turned out, she is my favorite one yet.

I added a little matching blanket last minute.
I sewed a elastic in the corner so you can put in on the doll's wrist.

Let me hear you roar! for Canyon she is 4

Happy Birthday C

You got us, you got us good.

From the moment we saw you we knew... We knew you got us...You got us good.

You can blink your eyes in such a way it's almost as if it's slow motion. I would considerate it a gift.  2 slow blinks and your dad is mush, add a extra blink & Grandpa gets you anything.  I'm a little jealous of your talent.

You are hilarious

You are so sweet...we were a tad worried there for a little bit.

You are a good negotiator & very persistent

You are smart

You LOVE your brothers & they adore you.

You enjoy coloring & watching Olivia

Your favorite food is grilled cheese & strawberry milk.

You love to dance and read books, especially if it's dad doing the dancing or reading.

You have the best fashion style I've ever come in contact with.

                               !!!!!You are 4!!!!!!

       Happy Birthday Canyon

         WE LOVE YOU!!!

The conversation went something like this.
ring ring...
TIF: Hey you wanna go on a short little bike ride with me.
ME: umm no thanks, i'm much to busy enriching my growing childrens minds & clothing the needy.
TIF: please, come on. it will be Super Easy! and we can hang out like sisters are meant to do.
ME: Well ok, if you put it that way.
TIF: great, I'll meet you at 7:00
ME: 7:00 a.m?
Tif: duh!

Ha Ha, i'd be ticked too if I had to sleep in that

another beauty

on the way back we noticed angry peacocks on the premises

18 miles later, I made it home.
I couldn't sit properly for a few days, but it was fun and we did enjoy some sisterly bonding.
Can't wait to do it again. (Surprisingly I say that only half sarcastic)
