SUGARLAND

My sweet husband thought it was the girls turn for a night out & surprised us with SugarLand tickets. Canyon has always loved them and she and I were stoked y'all.

Canyon in her Cowgirl attire

We stopped at Chili's with my legit Cowgirl Amber and her daughter Kail (like as in, they have real horses)

A little chilly, but tolerable so far, nothing a little Hot Chocolate and blue cotton candy can't fix.

Kail & Canyon
or is it K-a-l-e? hmm i'll get back to you on that one

"Those boots were made for walkin"

This was about rain storm numero 3 and it was gettin COLD

But hay everybody....a Rainbow.

It was 9:00 p.m, still no sugarLand and it was starting to rain again.  We decided to cut our loses and head for the car.  The little ones stripped down to their undies and we cranked on the heat.
ha ha and did I mention, Amber is 8 months prego ha ha oh man what a night. A very cold and memorable night.

Brigham City Temple

The Brigham city temple open house was such an amazing opportunity we decided that we could not pass it up.....Sort of.

We went on Labor day and so did thousands of other people.  By the time we were shuttled over, we were informed that the wait was 2 more hours and the tour was a hour long.  It did not take long to come to a unanimous decision.  We walked around the temple grounds and right on back to the shuttle.

Ha ha yes, Lincoln was this way most of the time...thus the quick decision to bolt.

Not quite the outcome we expected, but it was still really nice to walk around and see the beautiful temple with the family and dinner on the way home was especially welcome.

Porter's Baptism

I asked Porter where he wanted to take his pictures and he said he really wanted to go to the temple.
When I think of Temples, the Bountiful Temple is always the first to come to mind. I think it's a mixture of where Ryan and I were married and just the way it sits high on the mountain. PERFECTION

GO UTES

Porter was such a good sport, the younger 2 thought it was torture.

Could not pass this red phone booth we drove by.
Yes that is a shard of glass you can see. he was careful.

In-N- Out Burger just happens to be on the way home....wait maybe that's why I love the bountiful Temple.

              Baptism Day
Thanks Bro. Zaugg for taking our pic

The most handsome men in all the land

Another fantastic cake made by Kathy! thanks Kathy

I can't believe Porter is 8. OK I can, it's just crazy to think how old he's getting and I know it's going by so fast.
I'm so thankful for Ryan, the Priesthood he holds and for his great example he is to our kids and everyone around him.

Thanks everyone for sharing in this special day, it was amazing. Porter is loved by so many people. He is one lucky Boy & I'm his lucky mom.

Time for Fireworks.

Sorry Hooper, Weber State & every other Fireworks we've  attended.  These were the best!

Yes, these rowdy kids were mine, but they were having the best time.  we just let them have at it.
Did you check out aydans side steps?  they were a crowd favorite.

Ha HA ha  These guys were cracking us up. I don't even know half the stuff they were talking about.
By the way, RSL won 2-zip!!!
Happy 8th Birthday P

Oaks

One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is taking a car ride with my family.  Nothing long, nothing crazy, nothing pricey, just simple.

It's been so hot, Ice cream seemed like just the thing.
We took a little drive to the oaks, the kids love it there.

A few days before my Lasix. bye bye glasses, bye bye contacts

If you find Ryan..you find Lincoln.

I told them to give me their best ice cream faces

Love this guy

My kind of camping

July 2012 camping trip

Lodge overlook trail

swimming this trip was a little tricky for Porter and I.
Porter had some stitches on his head he couldn't get wet & I had lasix the day before & had to stay out of the water as well. (sooo worth it)

Home sweet Home

Tennis anyone?

Lincoln's splash pad bath

She was telling us a story & it sounded a little far fetched.
when we asked her if it were true she got a bit snippy lol

But we love her still

Gilligan's Island Pin Ball

A fellow camper had a inflatable screen and projector & invited us all for a movie.
