He's Here! He's here!

Ridge Darren Britt
1.11.11
8lbs. 21 in.

Ty & Shay (Ry's bro & wife) had their first baby, giving Ry and I our first nephew and the kids their first cousin on the Britt side.  He is the sweetest most perfect little fella I have ever seen. I dare say equally as perfect as mine.

Congrats you guys, I know you two will be great parents and welcome to:

. Always running late.
. Never having vomit, poo or snot free clothes.
. Loads and loads of laundry.
. Finally sitting down & realizing you haven't ate or pee'd in over 8 hours.
. Never getting enough sleep...never...NEVER.
. 1 box of diapers & a can of formula = over half your grocery budget.
. Finding yourself talking in a voice that isn't even welcomed on sesame street.
. Needing Hulk Hogan like strength to carry the carseat, diaper bag etc. bring on the blond mullet.
. Second guessing every parental decision you make.
. Loving something so much, it hurts just imagining life without him.

Love You Guys

The Perfect Pair

These two are so a like, it's frightening.

      Here are my comparisons

. Both stink, even after a bath

. Both make messes....messes that make you scratch your head and say "Really?....Really?...c'mon!"

. Both eat out of the garbage

. Both get so excited when daddy comes home, they will knock over anyone in their way.

. Both are so sweet & brighten my day

Lately, Bear our 10 year old chocolate lab has been residing in our garage because of the cold weather.
Frankly, I kinda like him there. We keep our kitchen garbage out there so every time I throw something away there's Bear, tail waggin & nudging his head directly under my hand forcing me to pet him.

I'm quite certain this is Lincoln's best friend.

Everyday Lincoln gets a glove on, sometimes shoes or a jacket, occasionally he even has pants on & he goes out in the garage to play with Bear.  He brings him a cereal bowl of water & a hotdog and they just hang out.
I leave the door opened, so I can keep a eye and a ear on the furry combo.  All I ever find is Linc sitting or laying with bear talking to him or hand feeding him dog food dipped in water.

Ryan and I had always discussed that once Bear decides to join Elvis, that's it, no more dogs. I'm seriously having my doubts now.

"Mom, it's a White Out!!!

May I set the scene for you?

Me, Stef, the Mother of my children, in my bathroom spackling some zits  um..putting some makeup on, when porter runs in-

Porter: Mom! Mom! It's a White Out.
Me: (deep breath in....&....exhale...) what do you mean? am I going to be mad?
Porter: It wasn't me, I swear!

I now exit my beauty parlor and find.....

Yup, exactly what I was thinkin "those look like the foot prints of a 2 year old.

Britt Fam

Our yearly Pics.
Thanks Emily emilybaileyphotography

as usual Lincoln was not havin this.
I have a feeling next year is our year.....please.

I swear every December, Ryan and I tell each other "next year we're doing family pictures in October!"
brrrrrrrr

Isn't he the sweetest? he really is.   Every one of his ages has been my favorite.

This gal has changed so much this past year.
I swear she went from 2 to 4 in a week. not to mention she has developed supreme eye rolling skillz.

Don't you feel complete exhaustion just lookin at him?
I wouldn't change a thing about him.

THE LOVEBIRDS
Of course you have to throw one of these in.
don't be jealous of my lady body builder chest. seriously..come on!

Christmas crafties

Yes,
I know it's January. I just thought I'd share some of my Christmas Crafties.

I have 3 bosses at the spa. I made them each a set of 3 note cards.
and packaged them up cute. Ryan didn't get the whole note card thing.

My neighbor gifts

Doll for Amilya's birthday

Robot for Hank.
I also made some felt ornaments for the Mullens but I don't think they were camera worthy.

Porter wanted to make the Grandpa's something, so we came up with pencil holders.
He's a pro with the hot glue gun. not a single burn.

For the Grandma's he gave the sewing machine a whirl.
I was pretty impressed.
He drew all the rectangles for the pillows, drew all the hearts. cut them all out.  We sat down at the machine, I showed him a few things and away he went.

Stockings
Camo for Ryan, Damask for me, Jazz for Porter, yellow and pink for Canyon and some funk for Lincoln.

                                           Teacher Gifts
     I'm almost positive that's it...wait...yup...that's it.

WE DID IT

Well Christmas has come and gone and we did it, we did it all.

Some of us saw Santa

Some didn't

We put up lights

We put up the tree

We put up stockings

The Professional at his best

Christmas Eve Chucke Cheese. a fam favorite 3 years in a row.

Another tradition is on Christmas Eve the kids get to open one present that consists of pajamas and a ornament. Then we meet my family at IHOP for a late night dinner.
And
Some where inbetween was a whole lotta other Christmas hoopla.  Dare I say it? I loved every gosh dang minute of it.

Merry Christmas 2010

Holly smokes & I thought November flew by. Where December went one will never know.
No complaints here, I've kinda been doing nothing.....Just enjoying, enjoying the sounds, enjoying the chaos, enjoying the sights, enjoying the winter smells and most of all enjoying my own little family. gluing, painting, cutting, stapling, snow, fog, Chrismas lights, Christmas movies, Christmas programs and all the other Christmas Traditions old and new ones.
I hope your Christmas is Merry, safe and filled with close family and friends, like mine is.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Stef

looking for something....anything

And it's only resulted in this
ONCE
(knock on wood)

Wow after reading this blog post I decided I look like a very neglectful parent.
I thought I should just mention that:
#1. all the bar stools are put away in the basement..except now he just uses the drawers as a ladder.
#2. the pantry does have a lock, but he's learned how to unlock it...with a knife.... uh crap
#3.the medicine is technically up high & all cleaning products are child locked
#4. This only happens when I need to use the bathroom or put my face on.
#5. after I snap a picture he is immediately removed and called by his first, middle and last name in a loud parental tone.
